Announcements:

Bellingham/Whatcom County is blessed with many compassionate pet lovers who contribute time
and generous donations to our four legged friends.  If you have an event you wish to have posted
please email information to me.  I would be happy to include any pet related activity on my page.

If you are fortunate enough to be able to give donations this year please consider a gift to a
Humane Society or possibly a  package filled with goodies to our service members who are
far away from their loved ones and in harms way.

aware of additional groups who provide a service for pets, please send me the information.

Because I am rarely able to extend my services outside the Bellingham area, I have listed the
names of several Boarding Kennels and Pet Sitters, who might offer similar services, those
who offer pet care to areas outside Bellingham City limits (such as Blaine, Ferndale and
Sudden Valley), or who might be able to stay in your home overnight.  Also listed are some
professional groomers in Bellingham.

Other "In Home" Pet Sitters
Bellingham Bay Pet Nannies:  (360) 305-0575.  Lisa, the owner is well established and loved by her
clients.  I have known Lisa for many years and can not say enough good things about her.  She also
cares for large animals, which is a huge plus.  I believe she is sometimes available to stay overnight.

If you are looking for an established Pet Sitter in Sudden Valley, try Linda Larkin: (360) 595-2131.  I have
referred many Sudden Valley residents to Linda and always receive positive feedback about her pet care.

In the Ferndale area, try Satori Professional Pet Care. (360) 319-4314.  Laura offers both "in home" Pet
Sitting and also Boarding for pets with special needs.  I've known Laura for over 20 years, going back
to when she worked with me as a Veterinary Tech.  Her love and compassion for animals is superb.

Boarding/Kennels
I have several clients who take their dogs to a kennel, but prefer to have me come to their home once
a day to care for their kittys.  This eliminates the need for several visits each day to let dogs outside.

Also keep in mind that one of the services Jan's Critter Sitters offers is transportation to and from a
kennel if your schedule does not coincide with the pick up times of the boarding facility.

Plush Pooch is recommended by many people I talk to.  (360) 676-0430.  www.plushpooch.net   Pam,
the owner, runs a very professional kennel located off Yew Street Road.  She has an awesome staff and
great trails for walking dogs, along with spacious, fully fenced outdoor play areas.

For kennels outside of Bellingham:  I would recommend Doggy Haven Resort in Bothell, (north of Seattle).
(425) 482-4472.   www.doggyhaven.com   (My kids live in Everett and take my grand dog to Doggy Haven
for boarding/day care and love the place, as does Rocky).  The first time I walked in to pick
him up, I felt like I was in the lobby of a hotel for humans.  Nice facility, inside and out.

If you prefer a place to board your cat, (rather than having an "in home" Pet Sitter), Cat Nap Inn, located
south, in Sedro Woolley is top notch.  (360) 724-3513,  www.catnapinn.com  Kolleen, the owner, has a
very professional, modern catery.  (She is also a person I have known for many years and if I were a kitty
and could not stay at home,  that is where I would want to vacation while my humans were away).

Looking for a doggy day care facility?
Tails A Wagging has been in business for many years. (360) 733-7387. www.tails-a-wagging.com
Besides day care, they also offer training classes and have some very well behaved , happy, graduates.
I have known Angi and Jason since the mid 1990's (going back to the early days when they just did
Pet Sitting.  At that time we were about the first Pet Sitters in Bellingham to offer "in home" visits).

Need a groomer?
City Dogs, is a fantastic place to take your pet for grooming. (360) 756-9515.
Lee Ann, is terrific and has been established for many years. (I have known Lee Ann for over 20 years).

Boo's Parlour is another great groomer. (360) 650-1664.  Michelle has been around a long time as well.
She does a great job and I think she also grooms cats.

Master Clip (360) 739-4447, is a mobile groomer who has a self contained van that pulls in to your
driveway, fetches your pets and returns them clean and clipped in about an hour.  Dawn is the owner
and I can personally recommend her because she is our dog, "Joeys" groomer.
